How to Play

Master the piano tile rhythm in minutes — here is everything you need to know before your first free session.

Core Mechanics

Magic Tiles 3 displays four vertical lanes. Black piano tiles scroll downward toward a hit line at the bottom of the screen. Your job is to tap each black tile exactly as it crosses the line — tap a white area or miss a black tile and the song stops immediately.

  1. Pick a song from the library — start with Easy difficulty if you are new to rhythm games.
  2. Watch the lanes as tiles descend. Only tap the black tiles; ignore the white gaps.
  3. Tap on the beat — timing matters. Early or late taps may not register as perfect hits.
  4. Build your combo by hitting consecutive tiles without mistakes. Longer combos yield higher scores.
  5. Survive to the end of the track to earn stars, coins, and unlock progress toward new songs.

Difficulty Levels

Songs ship with multiple difficulty tiers. Easy modes use slower tile speeds and simpler patterns — ideal for warming up. Hard and Extreme modes accelerate tile flow and introduce complex rhythms that demand sharp reflexes and muscle memory.

Long Tiles & Special Notes

Some tiles extend vertically — hold your finger down for the duration of the long note. Special glowing tiles may appear during certain tracks, requiring sustained presses or rapid alternating taps between lanes.

Scoring Tips

  • Focus on one lane at a time when patterns get dense — peripheral vision helps track all four.
  • Replay easier songs to build finger speed before tackling fast EDM tracks.
  • Use headphones for clearer audio cues — the melody tells you when the next tile arrives.
  • Take advantage of the free retry system to practise difficult sections without extra cost.
